Marissa Berkow Rosen

Marissa is the proud Executive Director of the Trio Foundation of St. Louis. She has worked with the Foundation in various roles for the last 9 years. Marissa earned her BA in Psychology and her Master’s of Social Work from Washington University, and has been active in the non-profit landscape in St. Louis throughout her career.

Beyond Marissa’s work with the Trio Foundation, she has provided leadership in her local school district and serves on the Ladue School District Board of Education. She is also the chair of the Engagement Committe of Philanthropy Missouri. She is honored to work with the Trio Foundation Board of Trustees to continue to make an impact in the St. Louis region and beyond.

Sara Breed

Sara serves as the Trio Foundation of St. Louis Grants Manager and has been with the Foundation for 2 years. Sara builds strong, collaborative relationships with nonprofits to support their missions and maximize funding opportunities. With extensive experience in both the nonprofit and business sectors—at both tactical and leadership levels—Sara brings a well-rounded approach to philanthropy, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.

A Nebraska native, Sara is a devoted Husker football and volleyball fan who misses the snow. She has a passion for craft beer, especially IPAs, and loves discovering local microbreweries. When she’s not cheering on her two children at their sporting events, you’ll likely find her hiking or cycling around St. Louis.
